For more than 25 years, we have represented individuals before the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service. Immigration is our most challenging practice as it involves complex issues that arise from often poorly written Federal Statutes and Regulations. Immigration, however, is in many ways our most rewarding practice. When we are successful, the futures for our clients and our country are transformed.
We also view Immigration as a central tenet of our public advocacy. It is our belief that if the United States comes to understand the importance of Immigration, diversity, and plurality, it will ensure its future for its next 250 years. This is not just a political statement or belief. The United States has relied on the contributions of non-citizens since its inception to develop and excel as a nation. And, as population trends for our country continue to decline, we will be forced to contend with economic and social issues that will not be easily solved without Immigration. This does not mean we should haphazardly open our borders. Immigration policy should be rigorous, but possible. It should be accessible and tolerant of complexity. Our country's Immigration policy should also be based on notions of fairness, forgiveness, and premised on the principle of due process for all. Most importantly, our country's Immigration policy should recognize that we need the most resilient and motivated people in the world to become our fellow citizens and share our blue passport.
As a practice, we carry these beliefs into our representation of every individual client. We understand each client carries with them the hopes of a better future and equal access to all the enrichments the United States offers. We strive to help our clients understand the complexities, bureaucracy, and oddities of our current Immigration system. Our goal is to enable our clients to make informed decisions about their future and ensure the security of their family legacies. As such, our practice focuses mainly on family-based immigration, humanitarian visas, complex criminal matters, and removal defense.
